Get your event listed
Are you running a public event to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of votes for (some) women in Jersey? If you are,
we’ll list it on our website and advertise it via our social media channels for free.
From exhibitions to afternoon tea, and from guided tours to art displays, whichever kind of celebration you’re organising, just send us the details by emailing
Are you related?
In 1924, two popular petitions were created and signed by hundreds of Islanders. The petitions called for equal civil rights for women, as well as for women to be eligible to stand for election as politicians.
We’re looking for people who are related to, or knew, any of the signatories listed below. This is so that we can bring the (almost) 100 year old signatures to life with photos, anecdotes and facts about them at our
‘Votes for women’ exhibition taking place from 9th-20th July.
Perhaps your mum or grandmother signed the petition? Or your auntie’s best friend? Or even a neighbour you once lived next-door to? If you knew of any of the individuals who signed the petitions and would like to find out more about our exhibition,
please email Kelly. Just scroll down and search.
If you are able to help us, please get in touch by Monday 17th June, 2019.
How will we use your information?
Your name, contact details and any other information you provide us with will not be shared with any third parties and will be deleted immediately after the exhibition.
The only information that will be made public is any regarding your deceased relative, friend or acquaintance that you give us permission to share at the
‘Votes for women’ exhibition.
