Established in 1992, the Bailiff’s Consultative Panel allows the Bailiff to consult confidentially with a group of elected members to discuss matters including plans for Liberation Day celebrations and arrangements for the departure or arrival of a Lieutenant-Governor.
The Chief Minister, the Chair of the Privileges and Procedures Committee, the Minister for Treasury and Resources, the Chair of the Comité des Connétables and 5 other members elected by the States are appointed as members of the Panel and serve for 3 years.
