Future hospital public hearing

12th October 2018

The Future Hospital Review Panel will hold a public hearing on the future hospital with the Chief Minister and Constable Christopher Taylor, Assistant Chief Minister and Chairman of the Hospital Policy Development Board.

The public hearing will take place on Friday 19 October at 12pm in the Le Capelain Room, States Building.

The hearing will explore:

  • The status of the current proposals and how this relates to the work of the Hospital Policy Development Board;
  • The governance arrangements around the Board; and
  • Whether there are any contingencies in place if the current proposal is not granted planning permission.

Deputy Kevin Pamplin, Chairman of the Future Hospital Review Panel said:

"The Chief Minister's Hospital Policy Development Board may have significant influence over the final decision on where to site the future hospital. As a Scrutiny Panel we want to make sure that the public can have confidence in the Board's final conclusions and recommendations. We also want to know what contingencies are in place if a decision is made to move the future hospital from its current proposed location.
