​The States have agreed that Jersey should import waste to be processed in the Energy from Waste Plant.

The proposition (P.104/2018) was put forward by the Minister for Infrastructure and was adopted along with an amendment by the Constable of St. Helier who proposed that any additional revenue should be spent on environmental improvement projects (P.104/2018(Amd)).

The Assembly also adopted a proposition lodged by Deputy Tadier that all medical professionals with the right to prescribe should be permitted to prescribe cannabis (P.113/2018). The Minister for Health and Social Services has been asked to bring changes to the law to give effect to the decision.
