​Deputy Geoff Southern of St. Helier has today (21st May, 2019) lodged a Proposition asking the States Assembly to decide if they have no confidence in the States Employment Board (SEB) because of continuing public sector strikes.

When bringing a vote of no confidence to the States Assembly, three other signatories are required to support the proposition. In this case, they are the Constable of St Helier, Simon Crowcroft; Deputy of St. Helier, Mike Higgins; and Deputy of St. John, Trevor Pointon.

The debate and subsequent vote are scheduled to take place as the first item of business, after question time, on 4th June, 2019. You can find the full Proposition, “Vote of no confidence: States Employment Board” here.
