What is the review about?
The Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel has started a review of the recently announced Student Finance Proposals.
A consultation has been undertaken by the Education Department that received over 3,000 responses. Subsequently changes were made to the initial proposal and a final proposition has been lodged for debate on 10th April 2018. The proposition can be found here

Terms of reference
1. To examine the appropriateness of the preferred Student Finance funding option(s) put forward by the Council of Ministers Sub-Committee in relation to:
a) local families and students
b) public finances
c) States of Jersey manpower resources
2. To establish any other options considered but rejected by the Council of Ministers Sub-Committee and assess the rationale for any such decisions.
