Terms of reference
- To review the proposed amendments of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005 with particular regard to:
- The implications surrounding the proposed amendments;
- The language and robustness;
- A comparison with other jurisdictions, namely the United Kingdom and Ireland.
- To consider whether the proposed amendments are in the interest to whom the law applies, and whether there are any manpower or financial implications;
- To consider whether the proposed amendments comply with the Human Rights (Jersey) Law 2000;
- To examine any further issues relating to the topic that may arise in the course of the Scrutiny Review and which the Panel considers relevant.
