States agree 2019 Budget

6th December 2018

The States have today agreed the Budget Statement for 2019 (Thursday 6th December 2018).

The Budget was presented to the States by the Minister for Treasury and Resources, Deputy Susie Pinel, and was adopted after two days of debate. The States rejected all of the amendments to the budget that had been put forward by individual members.

Members also agreed the Common Strategic Policy, with amendments, at this week's sitting. They ratified an Agreement between the Government of Jersey and the Government of the Republic of Mauritius for the avoidance of double taxation and appointed Mrs. Grace Nesbit as a member of the General Board of Governance of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General.
