Funding of Housing Capital Projects

Scrutiny review - Corporate Services Panel

Launch date: 03/05/2012

Review status: Comments published

What is the review about?

In April 2012, the Minister for Treasury and Resources proposed to allocate £27.1 million to fund six social housing projects.  The funding became available after improved taxation revenues and its use was intended to help with the provision of social housing and to assist the construction industry.  The Minister brought the proposals for approval by the States Assembly.  The Panel’s review is intended to assist the Assembly in identifying the issues arising from the Minister’s proposition and to ensure that its decision is made on an informed basis.
