Migration Policy 2018

​A review examining the Migration Policy published by the Council of Ministers.

The Panel received a number of briefings on the Migration Policy and reviewed the underlying population trends and relevant statistics. It published a high-level report setting out its initial observations on the Policy.

The Migration Policy is due to be debated in September 2018 by the next States Assembly. It is expected that further scrutiny of the detailed proposals within the policy will take place in the lead up to the States debate.

1. To undertake a high level review of the proposals laid out in R.134/2017 “Migration Policy”
2. To identify and consider the population trends and any other relevant statistics in relation to the Migration Policy
3. To identify any other changes or implications arising from the proposals
