Commonwealth Youth Parliament 2024

Represent Jersey at the 12th Commonwealth Youth Parliament in New Zealand 2 - 5 September 2024.

The 12th Commonwealth Youth Parliament 2024

We are looking to nominate two young people to represent Jersey at #CYP12, which will take place on Monday 2 September to Thursday 5 September, in Wellington New Zealand.

The Commonwealth Youth Parliament provides an opportunity for young people across the Commonwealth to come together to learn about how politics and parliamentary processes work.  The CYP gives attendees a hugely valuable networking opportunity with other participants from across the Commonwealth, as well as working with current young Members of Parliament who act as mentors throughout the week.

With 60% of the Commonwealth's population aged under 30, the CYP is one of the key programmes organised by the CPA and responds to the needs of its young constituents.  The CPA recognises that young people have a proven capability to lead change, and are a vital and valuable investment for now and the future.
